Ketamine-Assisted Therapy
I have personally, and as a therapist, been working with ketamine using a therapeutic model called Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). Ketamine is a legal, safe, and effective medicine used to treat various mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, and PTSD. Ketamine is used as a complement to therapy to soften our usual defenses and patterns of reacting, allowing for establishing healthier thoughts and routines. When taking ketamine you may feel dream-like, separated from yourself and your environment, in a kind of euphoric state, and may increase your feelings of openness.
I offer KAP in partnership with an organization called Journey Clinical. I take on the psychotherapy portion of the experience, while Journey Clinical’s medical team supports you on all medical aspects. In my work with Journey Clinical, we use Ketamine in a sublingual lozenge form.
